What This Site Is
Celbereport is an independent publication that decodes the mechanics of sovereign wealth and high performance. Each briefing is researched, modeled, and edited by a human before it reaches the index — drafting tools may assist research, but every published word is reviewed and verified by the editor.
Coverage is organized into three systems, each with its own analytical lens and dedicated index.
SYS-01 — Success
Tech B2B, SaaS, corporate scaling, and high-yielding systems
SYS-02 — Lifestyle
Luxury assets, real estate liquidity, and executive wellness and recovery
SYS-03 — Culture
Independent media models, consumer attention architecture, and real-world shifts
Who Runs the Desk

Marcus Thorne
Founding Editor & Principal Analyst
@marcusthorne · New York / London
- CFA Charterholder
- MSc Finance
- 14 yrs institutional equity research
- Ex-COO track, B2B SaaS (11 → 240 headcount)
Marcus Thorne spent fourteen years on the institutional side of the table before he ever published a word. He began in the equity research division of a London merchant bank, covering media and consumer-internet names through two full market cycles, and left as a director after building the desk's first coverage framework for what would later be called the creator economy — at a time when most analysts still filed individual internet earners under "other income." That framework, which valued audience relationships as balance-sheet assets rather than marketing outcomes, became the analytical spine of everything Celbereport publishes.
Between the bank and the newsroom, Thorne operated. He served as chief of staff to the founder of a B2B SaaS company that scaled from eleven employees to two hundred and forty across three countries, where he personally ran offshore engineering recruitment, employer-of-record negotiations, and the payroll and audit infrastructure that most business media describes only from the outside. He has hired the consultants, signed the insurance policies, and sat through the forensic audits this publication now covers — which is why Celbereport briefings read like operator memos instead of press releases.
Thorne holds an MSc in Finance from a Russell Group university and the CFA charter. His analysis has been cited in institutional research notes, syndicated business press, and two published books on digital-market structure. He founded Celbereport on a single editorial rule: every claim must survive contact with a spreadsheet. He writes every briefing's valuation model himself, discloses assumptions in plain language, and corrects the record publicly when the data moves against him. He splits his time between New York and London, and reads every reader email sent to the desk.
How We Work
Four operating principles apply to every briefing in the index, without exception.
P-01 — Original Analysis
Every briefing is built from primary research, disclosed data sources, and the desk's own valuation models — never rewritten press coverage.
P-02 — Human-Edited
Drafting tools may assist research, but every published word is reviewed, verified, and edited by the editor before release.
P-03 — Public Corrections
When the data moves against a published claim, the record is corrected on the page and the change is noted openly.
P-04 — Reader-Funded Independence
The site is supported by disclosed programmatic advertising — not by the companies we cover. Coverage cannot be bought.
We Read Every Message
Corrections, story tips, and reader mail all land with the editor. For how we handle your data, see the Privacy Policy.
